Google Earth photo manipulation

Most of the credit for this work goes to Google Earth. 

The story behind this piece lies in the inherent need for conflict, or war, within the Earth. And part of what I wanted to convey was Earth's downfall, from a lush pristine paradise to what it would eventually become, a land ravished and torn by war. I did not have a concrete vision of what I wanted before I went to the final version, and it morphed into this. I originally intended to do a couple triangular shaped ships to the bottom, shooting back at them, but thought it would look better if I just left them out. I was also thinking that they could be intentionally crashing into the Earth, to possibly trigger some type of breakdown of her energy, and ultimately cause the fall of Adam and Eve from there original states. Maybe the smoke caused by the explosions changes Earth's atmosphere and weakens the outer ice canopy that covered it above. So bad that it eventually cracks, shatters, and falls to the surface below . . .. who knows.
